My 20th Birthday by Dahlia

For my 20th birthday I wanted to celebrate by heading out to Kinisi, a Greek club in Melbourne! I love Greek music and I love to dance so naturally my first idea was to head out there. The music was so loud that unfortunately you can't really hear me talking over the clips, so I've added in a couple of captions to detail some of the happenings of the night!

We started early, around 10:30pm just before the live music began. I was lucky enough to book a few booths close to the dance floor so when it came time to dance, we weren't pushing past people to get through. I had quite a few friends join me (most of whom were not Greek - but they loved it) which made the night so much more enjoyable! The atmosphere was so lively and exciting, it was contagious!

Many of the songs performed at Kinisi are also those we use at OPA-cize™ classes, and while the beautiful Liana came along to celebrate my birthday with me, we couldn't help but dance some toned down versions of OPA-cize™ routines on the dance floor when our songs came on. So hilarious  and so much fun! The live entertainment was also fantastic, the band is so talented and the singers are all so engaging!

I'd also like to show you some clips from my actual birthday. I cut two cakes - one at my Γιαγιά's house and one at home with my parents, brother and boyfriend present. I was so glad to be surrounded by people I love, my family. At OPA-cize™, I was presented with a beautiful bracelet from two ladies whom I adore and was also given my favourite cake by the lovely Marie and had "Happy Birthday" sang to me by everyone! It was such a humbling experience, as I was not expecting anything, and it came a very pleasant and heart-warming surprise! I could not have asked for a better birthday, this year have given me one of the best of my life and I'm so grateful I've been able to spend it with people who mean so much to me.
